جشنواره بین‌المللی فیلم «موج کیش»از ابتدا با هدف شکوفایی استعدادهای نو در عرصه فیلم کوتاه و فیلمنامه، و نیز ارتقای تعامل فرهنگی میان هنرمندان، نهادها و مخاطبان، در جزیرهٔ زیبا و فرصت‌محور کیش شکل گرفت.
ما برای آن باور داریم که «امواج» سینما و روایت، اگر با نگاه خلاق، انسانی و مستقل همراه شود، می‌تواند دریچه‌ای تازه به جهان گشاید. از این رو تلاش می‌کنیم محیطی فراهم آوریم که فیلم‌سازان، نویسندگان، پژوهشگران و هنرمندان با فرصت برابر و فضایی باز، بتوانند آثاری بدیع، تأثیرگذار و دارای هویت بسازند.
مأموریت ما
ما معتقدیم که هنر فیلم کوتاه، به‌مثابه «موجی» است که کوچک آغاز می‌شود و می‌تواند ساحل‌ها و افق‌های بزرگ‌تر را لمس کند. بنابراین مأموریت ما عبارت است از: ۱. کشف و معرفی استعدادهای نو و مستقل در حوزه فیلمنامه و فیلم کوتاه. ۲. فراهم آوردن بستر نمایش اثر در سطح ملی و بین‌المللی.
۳. ارتقای جایگاه فیلم کوتاه و فیلمنامه به‌عنوان جریان خلاق، تأمل‌برانگیز و تأثیرگذار در سینمای ایران و منطقه.
۴. تعامل میان سینماگران، هنرمندان، مخاطبان و نهادهای فرهنگی و گردشگری؛ چراکه باور داریم سینما تنها تولید اثر نیست؛ تولید تجربه و گفت‌وگوست.
چشم‌انداز ما
چشم‌انداز ما آن است که جشنواره «موج کیش» به یکی از معتبرترین رویدادهای سینمایی منطقه تبدیل شود؛ جایی که قصه‌های فراموش‌ناشدنی دیده می‌شوند، خالقان آنها به دیده می‌آیند، و جزیره کیش نیز به قطب فرهنگی – هنری ماجراجویی فیلم‌سازان بدل گردد.
ارزش‌های محوری • خلاقیت: ارج نهادن به ایده‌های نو، روایت‌های تازه و زبان شخصی فیلم‌سازان. • صداقت در روایت: باور به این که هر فیلمی، حتی کوتاه، باید صدای صادقانه‌ای داشته باشد. • ارتباط فرهنگی: به اشتراک گذاری دغدغه‌ها، دانش، تجربه‌ها و انتقال آنها به مخاطب و جامعه هنری. • فضای برابر و شفاف: فرصت برابر برای همه فیلم‌سازان، داوری شفاف، گفتگو آزاد. • گردشگری فرهنگی هوشمند: ترکیب گردشگری، هنر و تجربه‌های سینمایی در فضای جزیره کیش، برای سرزندگی فرهنگی و اقتصادی منطقه.

The Kish Mowj International Film Festival was launched from the start with the aim of nurturing new talents in short films and screenwriting, and of strengthening cultural exchange among artists, institutions, and audiences on the Kish Island, a place of beauty and opportunity.
We believe that the waves of cinema and storytelling, when guided by a creative, humane, and independent perspective, can open a new doorway to the world. Therefore, we strive to create an environment where filmmakers, writers, researchers, and artists have equal opportunities and an open space to develop innovative, impactful works with clear identity.
